Worthy Brothers all,
We are almost at the end of our Fraternal year…time has flown. Despite the pandemic we are such a strong council in programs that we have earned the submission for Columbian Award. We do not do our good deeds for award but to achieve programs that Supreme has determined to me most impactful to our Church Family and qualify for rebates to be used for other good works. Because we “cleaned up the roster” of past due members we took a large hit in recruitment. Despite that nuance we are not doing very well in recruiting new men. With the new Degree Exemplification, time is only 30 Minutes to be fully Knighted in degrees 1-3. We are men of Faith and Charity and not secrecy, which makes this more impactful and simple in honor of time. Even a full ceremony once we are able is only 35 minutes or so. That being said we need to do a better job in recruitment. Many of us serve on other Parish Committees, Boards, and other Ministries. Surely there are good men you would like to bring into our brotherhood and fraternity. If only a quarter of our 273 men in membership could bring ONE new Knight, I would hope that we could achieve that and not sure why we come up short…I am open to new ideas. The time in the Fraternal Year for Officer Nominations and Elections will be the focus of our Zoom Council Business Meeting, This Thursday, May 14th at 7PM. The last meeting thanks to Brother John Wargins was a success. If you would like to be nominated for an Officer Position, then please respond to this email. I have contacted our Officer Corps and all members are wiling to give another year in position should there be no other nominations. Council 4057Follow the Carlisle Knights of Columbus as they serve St. Patrick's Church and the Carlisle community. SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
