Worthy Brothers,
The Regional Soccer Shootout was another great success with the Leadership of Mike Schwartz. Supporting Knights included Brothers Dave DeFour, Dave Kern, Jim Markley, Adam Fabbri, Joe Kahloff, Mike Schwartz, and Matt Bauer. There were about 50 Children participating and the other Knights that brought children from various councils totalled about 30. States will be this Sunday. Yesterday between 11:30 and 1:30 Brother Chip Steinburger organized our successful Coats for Kids event. Knights included: Chip Steinberger, Jim Markley, Tim Andrel, Dave DeFour, David O’Donnell, Tony DeSorbo, Jake Morano, Jack Connolly, and me. We met at the Pole barn Marsh Drive and organized the lots. We made successful and needed distributions at Hamilton, LeTort, and Lamberton Elementary schools. Less than 2 hours of our charitable time brought much needed coats and they were so very appreciative and thankful for our efforts. Hamilton Elementary for example is one of the most diverse schools in cumberland county. 75% of the children who attend are on free lunch. There is only one bus and those that are within a mile walking distance must walk and makes up most of the school population. Those that need a coat and make that walk on cold or rainy mornings will be thankful. Special thanks to our photographer and participant Jack Connolly. Jack kept us on point and took some amazing photos that we will work up for press release to local newspapers and the Columbia Magazine. Vivat Jesus, Chuck GK 4057 Two council events this week:

We have an OPENING for the FIRST Saturday of each month....5:15 Mass We have an OPENING for the LAST Sunday of each month......11:00Massamily We have close to "70" Greeters. Several Years Ago we organized our Knights' Choice of Mass and asked each member if they would be interested in joining this Ministry." Please see the attached and let me know so that I may forward your name to Jack with interest in joining the team to support with a Knight from the 5:15 Mass Family and the 11:30 Mass Family to consider joining our K OF C Greeting Ministry. Vivat Jesus, Chuck Bailey GK 4057 "Brother Knights,
The Counsel will be hold our last sub sale after for 2019 after all Masses on Saturday and Sunday, October 5th and 6th. It’s great fellowship and it requires only about 15 minutes of your time after Mass. Please respond to Dave DeFour to let him know which Mass you are available to assist. If we sell out of subs after the 11am Sunday Mass we will contact those that volunteered for the 5pm Sunday Mass to let them know. Optimally 4-6 Knights are needed for each mass at Marsh Drive to cover both the Narthex and the church exit at the south parking lot. It is best to be in position right after you receive communion as some parishioners leave right after communion. Thank you for all who have helped sell subs; it's a team effort that significantly helps support numerous programs at St. Pat's. Our first one in the new year will be on February 1-2, 2020. SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
