On Oct 28, members of Council 4057 distributed 96 brand new, warm coats to children at three Carlisle elementary schools as part of the Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids program.
Brother Jack Connolly has organized our blessed ministry of greeters for quite some time. Many parishes are not blessed with this ministry and it because of this ministry that we unite our Parish Family and make them and new comers fell welcome in our Parish home.

The Regional Soccer Shootout was another great success with the Leadership of Mike Schwartz. Supporting Knights included Brothers Dave DeFour, Dave Kern, Jim Markley, Adam Fabbri, Joe Kahloff, Mike Schwartz, and Matt Bauer. There were about 50 Children participating and the other Knights that brought children from various councils totalled about 30. States will be this Sunday.
Yesterday between 11:30 and 1:30 Brother Chip Steinburger organized our successful Coats for Kids event. Knights included: Chip Steinberger, Jim Markley, Tim Andrel, Dave DeFour, David O’Donnell, Tony DeSorbo, Jake Morano, Jack Connolly, and me. We met at the Pole barn Marsh Drive and organized the lots. We made successful and needed distributions at Hamilton, LeTort, and Lamberton Elementary schools. Less than 2 hours of our charitable time brought much needed coats and they were so very appreciative and thankful for our efforts. Hamilton Elementary for example is one of the most diverse schools in cumberland county. 75% of the children who attend are on free lunch. There is only one bus and those that are within a mile walking distance must walk and makes up most of the school population. Those that need a coat and make that walk on cold or rainy mornings will be thankful.
Special thanks to our photographer and participant Jack Connolly. Jack kept us on point and took some amazing photos that we will work up for press release to local newspapers and the Columbia Magazine.

Where: Marcello's Ristorante & Pizza, 900 Cavalry Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013

Worthy Brother Knights,
I received the following from our Worthy Brother Jack Connolly:
"Several Years Ago...our Knights of Columbus Family initiated the development of
The Saint Patrick Parish GREETING MINISTRY.
We have an OPENING for the FIRST Saturday of each month....5:15 Mass We have an OPENING for the LAST Sunday of each month......11:00Massamily We have close to "70" Greeters.
Several Years Ago we organized our Knights' Choice of Mass and asked each member if they would be interested in joining this Ministry."
Please see the attached and let me know so that I may forward your name to Jack with interest in joining the team to support with a Knight from the 5:15 Mass Family and the 11:30 Mass Family to consider joining our K OF C Greeting Ministry.
The Counsel will be hold our last sub sale after for 2019 after all Masses on Saturday and Sunday, October 5th and 6th.
It’s great fellowship and it requires only about 15 minutes of your time after Mass.
Please respond to Dave DeFour to let him know which Mass you are available to assist. If we sell out of subs after the 11am Sunday Mass we will contact those that volunteered for the 5pm Sunday Mass to let them know.
Optimally 4-6 Knights are needed for each mass at Marsh Drive to cover both the Narthex and the church exit at the south parking lot. It is best to be in position right after you receive communion as some parishioners leave right after communion.
Thank you for all who have helped sell subs; it's a team effort that significantly helps support numerous programs at St. Pat's.
Our first one in the new year will be on February 1-2, 2020.
Many knights from Council 4057 supported the St. Patrick School's annual charity gold tournament. A great time was had by all.
Council 4057's officers were installed by District Deputy Jim Markley on Sept. 12. Also in attendance was council Chaplain, Fr. Don Bender.
The teachers at St. Pat's school need our help at their upcoming golf outing on Sept. 13, 2019.
They are looking for 3 volunteers from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM to help set up, check golfers in, and direct people as to where to go. They only need help on the front end of the event.
We have 3 groups of Knights playing in this outing. Let's continue our support for the school. This is one of their major fund raisers for the year.
Please contact me if you can give a couple of hours.
Follow the Carlisle Knights of Columbus as they serve St. Patrick's Church and the Carlisle community.
SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
