On Sunday, February 24, 2019, Pennsylvania State Deputy Mark Jago (member, council 4057) presented KofC Council 4057 with the Star Council Award for the 2017/2018 fraternal year. The presentation was made at St. Patrick Church, during the 9am mass, in the presence of Pennsylvania State Chaplain Fr. Gregory d'Emma. Accepting the award were Past Grand Knight John Schlusser, and current Grand Knight Jay Raines. Also in attendance was Dave Kern, member of 4057 and District Deputy for District 64 (which also won Star District for 2017/2018).
The Star Council Award recognizes outstanding achievement in membership, insurance, and service program activities. Council 4057 earned the Star Council Award by first qualifying for three other awards: - the Father McGivney Award, which recognizes excellence in a council’s membership growth; - the Founder’s Award, which recognizes excellence in the council’s promotion of KofC's top-rated and exclusive insurance products; - the Columbian Award, which recognizes excellence in a council’s programming and charitable outreach; and by being fully compliant with KofC safe environment requirements.

Council 4057Follow the Carlisle Knights of Columbus as they serve St. Patrick's Church and the Carlisle community. SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
