"Brother Knights,
The Counsel will be hold our last sub sale after for 2019 after all Masses on Saturday and Sunday, October 5th and 6th. It’s great fellowship and it requires only about 15 minutes of your time after Mass. Please respond to Dave DeFour to let him know which Mass you are available to assist. If we sell out of subs after the 11am Sunday Mass we will contact those that volunteered for the 5pm Sunday Mass to let them know. Optimally 4-6 Knights are needed for each mass at Marsh Drive to cover both the Narthex and the church exit at the south parking lot. It is best to be in position right after you receive communion as some parishioners leave right after communion. Thank you for all who have helped sell subs; it's a team effort that significantly helps support numerous programs at St. Pat's. Our first one in the new year will be on February 1-2, 2020. Vivat Jesus

At last night's Council 4057 business meeting, Regional Membership Director Dave Kern gave a report regarding his time at the KofC 2019 Supreme Convention in Minneapolis. Among many important developments, Dave highlighted the family that was honored as family of the year. A link to the story can be found here: https://www.kofc.org/en/news/releases/knights-of-columbus-names-2019-family-of-the-year.html
Also of great significance, the Knights posthumously granted Kendrick Castillo, an 18 year old high school senior killed in the recent Colorado school shooting, full membership in the Knights of Columbus. A link to the article can be found below. Supreme Knight Carl Anderson summed things up as follows: “We have made a momentous decision,” said Anderson. “Kendrick wanted to join the Knights of Columbus to be more like us. By your acclamation, you have told the world that we want to be more like him.” https://www.kofc.org/en/news/releases/kendrick-castillo-named-honorary-knight.html |

SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
