Chuck Bailey, Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council 4057, presented certificates and awards to some St Patrick School 8th graders Nov 8 after the school mass. Fifteen students participated in an essay contest that starts at the local level and potentially progresses to the international level through the Knights of Columbus.
Congratulations to Elijah Diaz for taking 1st place, Morgan Coleman for 2nd and Rylee Hecht for 3rd. Those three, along with Cassie Sheriff and Ethan Brown will move on to the next level of competition. The topic of the essay was "Discuss the meaning of Virtue and how you live and emody the virtue of Charity."
